Registered Psychotherapy
I work with a variety of issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, shame, loss, grief, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.
I work from a client-centered approach, placing emphasis on our client-therapist relationship. As such, I offer a caring, compassionate, and inquiring atmosphere to foster an emotionally safe space for inner exploration of difficult feelings, experiences and memories.
When working with couples, I blend Emotionally- Focused Therapy, The Gottman Approach, and IFS to explore the patterns that lead to disconnection, and to create corrective emotional experiences in session.
I help clients examine their distress by bringing up and working through their experiences, issues, or concerns in an effort to understand and clarify their current beliefs, emotions, and behaviors as they relate to personal decisions and intimate relationships.
Additionally, I endeavor to help clients realize their potential for inner development and self-directed growth. Ultimately, my goal in therapy is to facilitate and accommodate clients reclaiming their ability to make mindful choices and decisions, and to gain autonomy over their lives.
My Journey
Sutherland Psychotherapy began from my passion to provide a holistic and patient-centered approach to wellness. I recognized the need for comprehensive care and compassion, inspiring me to create a space where you can feel understood and supported.
